Nov 7, 2021. #12. For the longest time it was standard for racing games to have enviromental detail that's well below other genres. Like, even in Forza Horizon 2, the cars looked amazing but the enviroments were sparsely detailed and they most certainly didn't stand up to scruity when observed from up close.

Coastal road. It's kind of curvy with only two real corners and lots of little elevation changes. OP said favorite road to test top speed. When I'm testing and tuning, I'd rather see how my car handles at top speed on a really fast road than just how fast it goes in a straight flat line or downhill on the highway.

Forza Motorsport 7 definitely does well in the looks department from a realism perspective. Even without cranking things up to 4K, you get a real sense that you are really racing in the locations of the tracks.
